Die Feuerdämonenmaske (Ginidal Raksha, Gini Raksha) ist eine Dämonenmaske, deren Aufgabe es ist, das Böse abzuwehren. Diese Maske repräsentiert die Emotion Wut, daher die Farben Rot, Orange und Gelb. Die Muster auf den Ohren sollen alles Böse abwehren. Die Muster auf den Ohren und im Gesicht ziehen die Aufmerksamkeit auf sich, was den Menschen in Sri Lanka sehr wichtig war.

5. Masks are made from acrylic paint on goda kaduru (strychnine tree) wood.
6. All masks are to be used as home decor items and not to wear for traditional kolam dancing. If you require wearable masks, you will need to order a specific type with spaces / gaps for the mouth, eyes and proper breathing. Custom made wearable masks can be ordered separately upon request and proper measurement.
